On April 24, 2004, ISAA held a panel discussion regarding drug addiction and prevention with famous singer Dariush and representatives of the Iranian Recovery Center (IRC): Dr. Iraj Shamsian, Floria Hamdam, Farhad Hamdam, and Siamak Afshar. With over 125 people in attendance, Iranians listened as former drug addicts told their powerful stories and recovery experts spoke about prevention and the important process of rehabilitation.
